Voice Actor: CX Agent Voice Cloning, USA

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab to build next-generation text-to-speech (TTS) systems and is seeking USA-based voice actors with native American English accents to record voice samples for training and evaluating speech models. Pay is $50–$150/hr. The role is open to experienced voice professionals and to newcomers with a naturally clear, expressive voice and a good recording setup.

The engagement is a single recording session of approximately 4 hours; a second session of similar length may follow depending on the client's needs, though this isn't guaranteed. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Your voice may be cloned for the client's internal CX AI Agent, so only apply if you are okay with voice cloning; recordings will not be sold, licensed or reused for any other product, dataset or purpose.

You will record high-quality samples across conversational, narrative and instructional scripts; deliver clear, natural, expressive speech with control over tone, pacing and pronunciation; keep voice and accent consistent across sessions; follow recording guidelines (environment, microphone setup, file formatting); and perform multiple takes varying emotion, emphasis and style.

Requirements: native American English speaker currently based in the United States; a professional or near-professional recording setup (quality microphone, quiet environment, pop filter); strong intonation, diction and emotional range. Preferred: TTS, audiobook, IVR or AI voice dataset experience and familiarity with Audacity, Adobe Audition or Reaper.
