The Manager, Campaign at The Metropolitan Opera plays a vital role in supporting high-level fundraising efforts of the Campaign team. The Manager will report to the Director, Campaign and work in partnership with the Assistant General Manager of Development, Senior Director of Major Gifts, and Special Campaigns Coordinator.

Primary Responsibilities- Play an active role in supporting the day-to-day fundraising activities and strategic planning of the Director, Campaign
- Project-manage the development and execution of campaign proposals, presentations, and supplemental materials. Oversee timelines, coordinate tasks, and ensure all elements are delivered on time to meet campaign goals.
- Regularly liaise with design, editorial, finance, education and other colleagues across the company to ensure materials are up to date.
- Develop detailed and competitive written proposals and reports in partnership with the Director, Campaign and Assistant General Manager, Development.
- Supporting the preparation of strategic written materials for leadership as needed, including talking points and correspondence.
- Support creation of bespoke cultivation opportunities in collaboration with Special Events, Major Gifts, and Campaign Cabinet.
- Ability to manage select grant proposals and reports for personal/family foundations that fold into Major Gifts and liaise with the Institutional Relations team as needed.
- Support with donor entertaining, including invitations, ticketing, and reservations, and provide support for ticket orders and exchanges.
- Help staff galas and other fundraising events as needed.

Skills and Qualifications- College degree or equivalent required
- 3-5 years of fundraising and development experience
- Previous experience in campaign environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively; the diplomacy and good judgment needed to balance multiple tasks
- Ability to exercise excellent judgment with high-level donors, volunteers, and Board members.
- Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Knowledge of Tessitura a plus.
- Familiarity with opera and the performing arts a plus
