Job Purpose
The Lead Audio Engineer is a key member of our production team, responsible for managing all audio-related elements at the Seawell Ballroom. From mixing front-of-house and monitor sound to managing wireless systems, playback, and recording, this position will ensure audio systems are delivering clear, high-quality sound for every event. This position will also support live-streamed and hybrid events, helping to create seamless experiences for both in-person and virtual audiences.
This role is hands-on and collaborative. In addition to the technical responsibilities, this position is part of the team that helps bring each event to life, whether that means assisting with rigging, draping, or decor setup. We are looking for someone who is technically skilled, adaptable, and ready to jump in wherever needed to help make every event a success.

Working Conditions
This position operates in both a professional A/V booth and a dynamic live event environment, primarily within the Seawell Ballroom. While a standard weekday schedule (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) is common when events are not in session, the role also requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs.
The role involves physical activity, including the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, as well as bending, stooping, crawling, and working at heights up to 30 feet. Operation of equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts may be required. Certification and training will be provided as needed. The position also requires quick response times and the ability to assist with guest direction in accordance with emergency protocols.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly in person and via email and must be able to remain active and on their feet for extended periods. Frequent movement throughout the booth and event space is expected, including the use of hands and arms to operate equipment, handle gear, and reach overhead.
