Audiobook QA Expert, European Portuguese (Remote, Part-time, AI evaluation) — Mercor via AI Gig Scout

Mercor is building a team of native Portuguese speakers who love audiobooks to evaluate AI-narrated (text-to-speech) audiobooks in European Portuguese. This is remote, part-time work at roughly 20 hours per week, listed at $15–$20/hr. You can be based anywhere, though people living where European Portuguese is natively spoken are preferred.

You will listen to AI-narrated audiobooks and assess how natural, accurate and enjoyable the narration is; spot and log errors in the synthesized speech (skipped, added or mispronounced words, numbers or abbreviations read wrongly, unnatural phrasing or intonation, audio glitches and artifacts); categorize each issue and mark its exact span in the review tooling; and report on overall listener satisfaction.

Requirements: native or near-native European Portuguese and a regular audiobook listener; enough working English to report clearly; some experience with annotation, transcription, proofreading, linguistics or other detail-oriented review work; and reliable availability of about 20 hours a week. Prior AI training-data or audio QA work, or a background in language, editing, voice or audio production, is a plus.
