VFX & Compositing Supervisor, Generative Video Evaluation (Remote US, Full-time) — Mercor via AI Gig Scout

Mercor is looking for experienced VFX and compositing supervisors, FX and CG specialists, previs supervisors and concept artists for a leading AI lab building generative video models aimed at feature-quality visual effects and preproduction. This is a full-time role of about 40 hours a week, a W-2 employment position with Cincinnatus LLC, listed at $70–$110/hr, remote in the United States.

You will set the quality bar by defining standards and an artifact taxonomy for micro detail, multi-layer integration, physics, previs and concept art; curate benchmarks of excellent and genuinely hard VFX, simulation, previs and concept work; review generated footage frame by frame and write precise notes on temporal instability, compositing seams, spill, physics and fine detail; and help define how human reviewers are vetted and calibrated and how captioning guidelines describe VFX detail.

Requirements: 7+ years of professional experience in feature VFX, animation or virtual production; credits on 2+ professional films; a background as a VFX Supervisor, Compositing Supervisor or Lead Nuke/Flame Compositor, FX TD or CG Supervisor (fluids, pyro, cloth, hair), Previs/Postvis Supervisor, or Senior Concept Artist, Matte Painter or Visual Development Artist; hands-on use of generative tools for concept art, previs and test samples; availability for about 40 hours a week on weekdays; and strong written communication. Access to a 4K display is a nice-to-have.
