We're a small team of guitar nerds running one of the largest and longest-running online guitar education platforms, plus a growing social presence with serious reach. We're looking for an on-camera instructor to help us make the next wave of our content: lessons, riffs, tips, short-form social, the whole spread.
This is a 1099 contract role with flexibility on scheduling, with shoots happening at our video studio in Valencia, CA.
What you'll do
- Host and perform in instructional video lessons, from total-beginner first-chord stuff up through advanced technique, theory, and genre deep-dives
- Star in short-form social content: hooks, tips, gear takes, "can you play this" moments, trending-format riffs, anything that earns a stop-scroll
- Bring fun ideas to the table. We'll help with content planning and have a pipeline of concepts ready to go, but the best contributors here are the ones who walk in with "what if we did this?" energy
- Show up prepared, dialed-in, and ready to nail takes efficiently
Who you are
- A genuinely excellent guitarist. Strong technique, real feel, and the ability to play and explain across styles
- A natural on camera. Warm, charismatic, watchable. Someone who's never picked up a guitar should still want to keep watching you
- An actual teacher at heart. You can break a concept down three different ways until it lands, and you take that part seriously, because real people are trying to learn from you
- Reliable, professional, and easy to work with
- Experience with social media guitar content, ideally a track record of building an audience on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or similar
To apply
Send us:
- 1. A short self-tape audition about yourself and why this role
- 2. Links to video of you playing and
talking. Teaching clips, performance, social posts, anything that shows both sides
- 3. A resume or LinkedIn
If we like what we see, we'll bring you in for a screen test at the studio. Come ready to play and ready to talk to a camera.
