About Remo

Remo is building the new standard of dementia care by fundamentally changing the care journey for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers (the Dyad). As a virtual dementia care provider, our expert clinical team designs personalized, comprehensive care to serve people with dementia and caregiver needs (instead of a one-size-fits-all approach). We empower family caregivers by connecting them with a vibrant community of other caregivers, expert content, and tools to manage the entire dementia journey – from anywhere, at any time. Our mission is simple – to provide accessible, comprehensive, quality dementia care for every person who needs it.

About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Audio Engineer and Content Editor to join our team as an independent contractor (1099). The primary responsibilities of this role are to record high-quality interviews with guests and to create audio segments of various lengths for use across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio recording, editing, and production. They will also have a keen attention to detail and a passion for meaningful storytelling. This is a fully remote part time position.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Record interviews with host Emily Silverman and a guest in a fully remote and “at-home” setting, preferably using Zencastr or a similar product. These recordings happen approximately twice per month. Each interview lasts approximately 75-90 minutes including setup, sound check, recording, and sign off.

  • Mix, edit, and export high-quality audio content for online publication and distribution.

  • Edit and process raw audio files to remove noise, adjust levels, and enhance sound clarity.

  • Create an average of 5-to-6 total audio segments of varying lengths per interview, most often including:

    • One long-form, podcast-style audio file approximately 45 minutes in length.

    • Two interview-style audio files for use on a proprietary platform (Remo Learn). Each segment is approximately 10-20 minutes in length.

    • Three short, social-media length audio clips for use on various social media platforms. Each clip is approximately 1-to-3 minutes in length.

  • Organize and manage audio files in a structured and easily accessible manner, preferably Google Drive.

  • Ensure all audio content meets technical specifications and quality standards necessary for publication on proprietary platforms, such as Remo Learn, and publicly-accessible platforms, like Spotify and YouTube.

  • Remotely troubleshoot audio equipment issues before and during interviews as they arise.

You May Be a Good Fit If You

  • Have proficiency in audio recording and editing software.

  • Are able to work on a part-time or as-needed basis.

  • Have strong understanding of audio equipment and common technical issues experienced during the recording process.

  • Have the ability to work independently and communicate with the larger Remo Marketing and Content team.

  • Are strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Have knowledge of different audio formats and codecs, and various recording and content-hosting platforms.

  • Have the ability to effectively troubleshoot technical issues with guests remotely.

You’re the Ideal Candidate If You Have
